Moving out of state. License question?
I am "moving" out of state from MN to TX. But I am not sure, I might stay in TX for a year and then go to another state to join Masters. According to TX DMV, you have to get a state license after 30 days of setting up residency in TX.
So my question is,
1) Do I have to apply for TX license now, if my MN license is still valid for 2 more years??
2) What happens if I am caught by a TX cop while driving with a MN license and MN license plate?? what's the fine?
3) Can Vikings still beat Cowboys?? HELL YAA....
1) You need to apply for the TX license after you move, but within the 30 day window. Residency is defined by the date you establish a permanent address. That means an apartment or house where you will get your mail.
2) You get a compliance ticket. That means that you now have 30 days in which to get the proper license and plates and show them to the judge. If that is done you will only have to pay court costs. If that is not done you get a several hundred dollar fine and court costs.
3) No one can beat the Cowboys. They only fail to perform to their abilities which allows other teams to get more points.
