The State Flag of Oregon
Like other countries and states throughout the world, all respective states in America have their own identifying flag, including Oregon. This article describes the flag of Oregon and also explains why it's very much unique in comparison to other state flags. The Oregon flag's color is mainly navy blue, but also gold is used for the specific (different) designs displayed on both the front and backside of the flag.
The state flag of Oregon as flown from flag poles throughout the United States is navy blue with the lettering and the symbols colored in gold, thus representing the correct state colors of this respective state. On the so called "obverse," State of Oregon is written above the symbol, which is the escutcheon.
Human beings of "all kinds" have lived the area that is referred to as Oregon in our day, for at least fifteen thousand years. Recorded history of the state dates back to 1500-s. By the 1700-s, this territory was home to countless Native American tribes. Interestingly, the very first European explorers were Spanish. It became part of the Union or a state back in 1859 and counts nearly four million inhabitants.
The state flag of Oregon is considered one of many historical flags that has been displayed from all kinds of different flag poles throughout American history. It was not until the first quarter of the 20th century that the flag was officially adopted. It is very unique in its kind, because the flag is 2-sided, meaning that the each side displays different elements or symbols.
