What language should I learn: German, French, Spanish or Italian?
I have a choice between German, French, Spanish or Italian. The lessons are free at my University and start from scratch, so difficulty is no problem. I want to become fluent so I can take a job abroad working as part of an entertainment team at a hotel probably in Turkey or Egypt, where guests will speak different languages. However I am having a little trouble deciding!
I did a tally chart and German came up as the most requested language on the Entertainment Team job ads online (tied with Russian, 9 ads asked for good German). However, the same amount of ads asked for any language. I am more keen on the Romance languages as I have studied French before and I think I would find them easier. But, I want to study something new and that I can use?
Sorry to ramble on, if I could have your opinions I would be very grateful!
for that areas of the word, Italian would probably be best. its also fairly close to French and Spanish
