Modern Spanish Guitar Artists

The guitar is an instrument that has been around since the 1500s. It is one of the most popular musical instruments and it is widely used with a huge variety of music genres, from classical to rock music and country music.
Whether you're a thinking of learning to play the guitar or you simply enjoy listening to its music, have you ever stopped to think about the different kinds of guitars?
Guitars can be classified into 3 kinds: the classical guitar, the acoustic guitar and the electric guitar.
The classical guitar is the one which is used widely and most commonly. It has a hollow body (pear shape) with a hole which acts as a resonator of the sound produced by plucking and strumming the strings. Since it is believed to be originated from Spain, it is also referred to as the Spanish guitar. The classical guitar usually has six strings made of nylon. These nylon strings have less tension when compared to steel strings thus making this kind of guitar easy to pluck or strum. It is assumed that it is to be played only with the guitarist's fingers and not with a pick. It is most suitable to be played for classical, Latin and Flamenco music.
An acoustic guitar uses steel strings to produce a louder and brighter sound. In terms of its shape and appearance, it is like a classical guitar. The acoustic guitar caters to blues, country and folk music. It can also be used in different genres of rock.
The electric guitar is today's most widely used, especially in musical performance and production. This kind of guitar has been enhanced with a very good accompaniment in the form of the effects box.
The electric guitar uses electronic 'pick-ups' to produce sounds. The pick-ups then convert the vibrations from the strings into electric signals. The body of the electric guitar is usually semi-solid or solid, . The structure of the electric guitar does not depend on its sound, but on the quality of the pick-ups and soundboard.
These three kinds of guitar may have different sounds production, but they are dynamic and much-sought after instruments and are usually present in any musical performances.
