Italian Soccer tell me everything?
Hi i just recently got into the whole italian soccer thing n i watch it faithfully every weekend on tln but can someone tell me as much as they know about the italian soccer im talking about the soccer with (AC Milan, Inter, Juventus, etc) which is Serie A i think and also tell me about Serie B (US citta de Palermo, Fiorentina, Reggina, etc.) I will give a nice 10 points to whoever tell me the most.
And a bit about the whole scandal too. Does Juventus still play this year i havn't seen any of their games yet.

Actually, Juve is not in Serie A, but in B for "cheating" and using "corrupted" refs to ref their games.
Fiorentina, Reggina, Lazio, AC Milan also got caught, and got point deductions, with Fiorentina and Reggina having the most.
POINT DEDUCTIONS & Consequences from Scandal:
AC Milan: 8 pts
Fiorentina: 15 pts
Out of UEFA Champions Game (06-07)
Juve: 9 pts (DROPPED TO SERIE B)
2005 and 2006 Series Titles Stripped
Out of UEFA Champions Game (06-07)
Lazio: 3pts
Out of UEFA Champions Games (06-07)
Reggina: 15pts
Despite Scandals, other teams including: Inter Milan still are winning, and doing well in the new season.
Many teams are part of the same region. For example: the region of Lazio has two teams, can you guess? Of course- LAZIO, and ROMA. The city of Torino has 2 teams, TORINO and JUVENTUS. Milan has two, INTERNAZIONAL and AC.
Many of the power houses in Italian Soccer League are: AC, INTER, JUVE, ROMA, FIORENTINA, and LAZIO. Of course, with the point deductions of 4 of these teams, the serie is being dominated by 1 of these teams, INTER, which is at the top of the table. (They beat AC Milan about 3 days ago, with 4-3)
ABOUT THE TROPHY:
Each team fights every year to win, win, and win more. But every team fights for one goal, the Scudetta, the most honored trophy in Italian Soccer. Many teams have won one, or more, and the following have won more than 10: Inter, AC, JUVE. Juve with the most: 27, next AC: 17, and third is Inter: 14. When a team wins a scudetta, they add to their records. If a team has won 10-19 scudettas, they are allowed 1 star above their logo, if a team wins 20-29, they are allowed 2 stars. Basically, you are allowed one more star every 10 scudettas won for your club.
Of course, each yaer there are the winners, and then the losers, of the league. The teams that come in last (3 teams) the ones that come: 18, 19, 20, all get moved down to Serie B, and the runners up from B (1, 2, 3) get moved upto A.
The more money a city (club) has, generally the better they are. THat's why you see, the JUVE, the INTER, the AC, the TORINO teams do better, because they have money due to their ideal location (a busy city), which is why they can afford players whos' salleries are more than your life savings!!!
