Islamic Dress Code Men

Why do Jews and Muslims make more demands on Christians (head coverings) than vice versa?
Why do Muslims and Jews make requirements on outside visitors that Christian Protestants do not make on anyone? Women must wear hajib at an Islamic mosque (some American journalists even wore head coverings while reporting the news from Iraq) and all men must wear the yarmulke in a Jewish synagogue, but many Protestant churches have relaxed their dress codes to include jeans, T-shirts and sandals. People from any other faith, or no faith at all, are welcome to attend "evangelical churches" and participate freely. Is this because Christians believe it's faith, not works, that reconciles mankind to God?
Interesting question.
I think Christians defer to others, believing "when in Rome, do as the Romans do". Since Christians do not wear distinctive dress or head coverings, we have nothing to ask others to comply with when they come worship with us.
