Greek Kabob Recipe

Can someone give me the recipe for making the RED SAUCE that is put on the rice in the Greek restaurants when?

you order shish kabob? I really love this sauce but don't know exactly how to make it.

Tomato sauce - (Saltsa domata)
1/2 kg fresh tomatoes (or 1 large tin preserved tomatoes)
1 onion,
chopped basil
1 bayleaf
1/4 cup oil
1 garlic clove
Salt
Pepper

Heat oil in a saucepan and saute onion. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for half an hour or more, until the sauce absorbs its water.

This sauce can be used in pasta or rice.
