Holidays : Cool Destinations Not To Miss Out On

Sometimes we all need to get away from it all, take a step back from the harsh realities of life and go on holiday to try to reboot the system. While we all know about the benefits of popular countries like Spain, France, the USA, and Greece, when you have already been to a particular country, it may lose its shine the second or third time around. What this guide aims to do is to give you information on alternative destinations for your 2011 holiday, and attempt to offer places that you might have overlooked.

This may come as a bit of a shock after recent events in the news but the reality of the situation is that there has never been a better time to enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of Egypt. The Great Pyramid of Giza is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and while almost everyone will have seen photos and videos, the awe-inspiring visualization of this amazing construction seemingly in the middle of a desert is something that needs to be seen to be believed. Other places that everyone should visit in their lifetimes are the Valley of the Kings, the Great Sphinx and the Abu Simbel temples.

Croatia is a country not many people consider when planning a holiday but in recent years it has been gaining in popularity. Croatia has some fantastic weather and great beaches along the Adriatic Sea coastline. With rolling hills and plains in the north, rocky coastlines in the west and densely wooded mountains in the center of the country, Croatia offers an eclectic mix of scenery that is sure to wow even the most seasoned explorer.

As the most populated of the seven emirates of the UAE, it is no surprise that Dubai is also one of the most popular in terms of tourism. The main pull that Dubai has to attract tourists from all over the world is the shopping that it offers, with designer shops and boutiques to rival even places such as New York and London. Dubai is also a place that takes pride in its ruling and is somewhat strict on certain laws and religious customs that are traditional in the emirate, so be warned as punishment is severe, even for tourists.

One place that it seems everyone is going to at the moment is Thailand. With its fabulous beaches, secluded islands and wonderful culture, Thailand has something to offer everyone. If culture and history is your thing, Thailand has a wealth of temples and other historical buildings and monuments to tempt you. On the other hand, if you just want to relax and enjoy the sun, the island destinations of Phuket, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Chang, Koh Tao and Koh Lipe, amongst many others, all fit the bill nicely.
