Bulls Blow Out Atlanta Hawks, Look Ahead To Heat
The Bulls were never meant to win a great number of games or make it this far into the playoffs.
They were arriving from two average 41-41 seasons before the 2010-2011 year, and no NBA expert supposed them to cruise to the league's top record. But with the No. 1 seed in the playoffs, the NBA's youngest MVP, and the coach of the year, anticipations for the squad have continuously risen.
And now it's come to the Eastern Conference Finals versus the Miami Heat. The Chicago Bulls had to walk through fire to get here, but an exceedingly tight defense and expanding confidence in their offense have watched them through two hard playoff series. First, they took out the Pacers in 5 contests in a series that was far more hard than anyone supposed it to be in NBA betting.
Last evening, they defeated the Atlanta Hawks in Game 6 to eliminate them from the playoffs. And their 93-73 blowout of the Hawks exhibited why Derrick Rose is the MVP and Tom Thibodeau is the Coach of the Year. The Bulls neutralized Atlanta's two top scorers, Joe Johnson and Jamal Crawford, who were instrumental in the Game One upset, but which were never truly watched from again in the series at the online sports book.
Chicago's offense had struggled throughout several of the games of the playoffs to date. They just aren't that efficient with scoring. But in Games Five and 6, they've started to turn even this weakness around, throwing out the Hawks in the 4th quarter of Game Five, and foremost the entire way through Game 6. The Bulls had an incredible 31 assists on 41 field goals last evening.
Too as the Chicago Bulls are playing at this time, they go into the next series as underdogs vs the Heat. In fact, everyone “expected” the Miami Heat to arrive at the NBA Finals this year, if not win their first of “not six, not seven” championships. And nobody thought that this Chicago Bulls squad would've the amazing run that it has had thus far.
But looking at the Miami Heat, it took their Big 3 to improve to defeat an aging, wounded Celtics squad. There have been at least two games that, if the C's had had a well Rajon Rondo, the Miami Heat would have lost. And that makes it a game 7 win for the Heat, if whatsoever. The Miami Heat will have their work cut out for them with the faster, more athletic, deeper Chicago Bulls squad.
In any case, the NBA Playoffs are so far more interesting when we can all take a look at the Bulls and say, “Not since the Michael Jordan era...” It seems appropriate that the Chicago Bulls must get through possibly the most-hated team in the league to get to the NBA Finals. Does anybody remember the Bad Boys Detroit Pistons squad that MJ and crew had to wipe out before earning their 1st championship?
I feel the Eastern Conference Finals will be one of the most exciting in recent memory in the NBA. The Chicago Bulls have home court edge, a deep bench, the MVP, and a suffocating defense. The Miami Heat have the Biggest 3 in the league at the moment. It should make for a really exciting series, no matter who {wins}. But I'm not counting the Bulls out of this one at all, and I think they've got the better chance here against the Miami Heat bets.
