Ancient Greek Swords Names
Did Jesus have halitosis? Could the "Holy Spirit" just be a mistranslation of the Greek for "bad breath"?
"In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" is written in ancient Greek as:
...το ονομα του πατρος και του υιου και του αγιου πνευματος
which, word for word, translates as:
..the name the father with the son with the awful breath

Averell: I guess it's because "awful" comes from "awe full" or "full of awe". It is an accident of language evolution that it now has an opposite meaning. Still, it makes a funny pun to entertain me and my tiny mind.
Keep that joke private dear one. No need to share it at the further reviling of God's name. The athiests and haters do it enough.
